Tipping the guy setting up the playset?

There is a guy from Wood Kingdom here and he has been setting up our new playset for HOURS. I want to give him a tip but I don't know what a good amount would be. I know this is personal, but what did you tip your guy?

i would offer something to drink and a snack, and probably give him anywhere between $50-$100

$30. I'm sure you paid $$$$ for the installation, and he is getting paid by Wood Kingdom. I guess I'm cheap!

I'm probably not in the norm here.. but if you bought the playset and it was advertised "includes installation" I wouldn't tip anything.. it's a service that's included.

If it was supposed to just be delivered in a box and this guy offered to assemble it for you, tip away...

I disagree. Any furniture item we get comes with installation/assembly, but we always tip. I would absolutely tip someone putting together something (esp for hours) at my home.

I disagree. Chat Icon It's their job and they get paid for it regardless of how long it takes or where it takes place.

For example.. we are starting a life insurance policy. A technician came to our house last weekend to take our blood, weight, stats, etc. She was here for 3 hours. We did not tip her. It's her job to go house to house and complete this service.

But this is a constant debate on LIF and people will never agree on it.... Chat Icon
