TMI Ques about what's OK to flush?
Sorry for the TMI but we had our cess pool "serviced" last week and the guy reminded me not to flush baby wipes (I don't flush them but apparently DH does -
 )
I've read that even flushable wipes are not OK to flush, but I'm wondering about flushable tampons - are they really flushable?? Should I just avoid the worry and put everything in the trash instead? I make sure to not buy the plastic applicators because I don't want to fill the landfills with this stuff but maybe they're really not flushable?

TMI Ques about what's OK to flush?
With a cesspool, I don't flush anything. No baby wipes (wouldn't anyway), no flushable wipes, no tampons.
Also we don't use the very soft/bulky toilet paper.

Anything other than Scott toilet paper is a no no... Even anything that says "flushable"

Thanks for the replies. I try to buy Scott and DH complains about it being "rough". He's being so insistent on it that he's even asked me to buy Charmin for him but Scott for me and the kids.

We have sewer and our plumber said nothing but Scott tissue. Not even flush able wipes and no Tamps. Which defeats the purpose of Tamps

This. And moving from Nassau to Suffolk this was one of the biggest things I had to get used to.

I had a septic growing up and a septic tank now and I always have and will continue to flush tampons. To me, there is no alternative. I have never had any problems. We also have always bought charmin so I guess I'm doing everything wrong but I'm not willing to change these things

I'm so used to thin TP I probably couldn't go back if I tried

I'm the only girl in my house (except babysitter 2 days/wk) and I am OK with Scott. I've bought it before and he has returned it to Costco!! hahahaha. I just bought a big bundle of it last week and it's opened already so for the next month or so, it's Scott!
