Congratulations on being an idiot.
I am not sure you realized, but you were going the wrong on the LIE service road.
I am not sure how you didn't know though. The cars coming directly at you should have been a clue, the huge black and white signs with arrows pointing in one direction should have been another. Even if you don't speak English the arrows really should have been a clue.
I want to thank you too for giving my dh a flash back to watching his dear friend and coworker get killed on the LIE by some idiot driving drunk and the wrong way on the LIE. It has taken many years for him to get over that fear and you have just made it resurface.
Signed the woman in the mini van with 2 babies and a petrified husband.
PS When I beeped at you to let you know you were going the wrong way, smiling and waving to me really didn't make it any better.

this guy had to be drunk, don't you think? going to wrong way is a tell-tale sign... what happened? did he just keep going? how did he not get in an accident?  i wish a police officer had seen him. smiling and waving at you?! that is insane!!

Agree- I can't imagine any other reason for going the wrong way and not realizing it... I mean cars were coming AT him- HELLO??
I swear- the roads are a scary scary place!!!

Just read an article in today's paper about a woman who was killed in an accident by a BMW. Was this Friday night?
ETA: Just checked and this accident was on 25A, not LIE.

This was at 1:45pm we were on our way to a birthday party. He turned onto one of the underpasses, to either crossover the expressway or go the right way. If he hadn't turned onto the other road I would have called the police.
