Sorry but I disagree with you....
the Pets board "definition" is....
"Dedicated to our furry and not so furry friends!"
Therefore...stories about animals....whatever they be...should be on there. the good, bad and the ugly.
I disagree beacuse if we did it like that, then all food post (and there are alot) should go on Recipes because the "definition is "Yummy". I have to agree w/ Jes on this one.

I never said that food posts should be on the NFR board...I was talking about a specific thread that was in question....

I'm with Miki and Lisa on this one. Who cares about the the thread reporters? LIF makes the ultimate decision and if they didn't want users to report threads they wouldn't have created a report feature, would they have?

I know that LIFamilies makes the decisions. I would like to put in a word for my appreciation of general news stories related to pets stay on NFR.
Since I visit Pets infrequently, it could be helpful to know, just as a member of the public, how to deal or help with a situation involving a pet based on the experiences of others, especially if it involves a life-threatening matter.

OOh look a "cub" posted on this thread...well little bears are called cubs so should I report this to pets? Humn, same time, little cubs have mothers so maybe it's better suited on parenting.

I agree with Jes that a thread like that should not have been moved to Pets.
I also know that LIF makes the decision to move it - not the person reporting it.
I also think that if the thread was never reported, it stands a much lower chance of ever being moved.
When the Report Post feature was first enabled, LIF told us that abusers would be dealt with accordingly... I think that all the complaining about moved posts lately is just an indication that maybe it's time for LIF to look into the possibility that there might be some abusers in our midst.

That is grey and open for interpretation though. If I report 50 threads a day am I an abuser? What if all 50 reports are valid?

I agree with you jes, and i have to add also if you see a thread that say's x post you dont have to report that thread because it's already on that board for example I had a post about my home and it got reported on put on that board, which it already was.

Is this controversy b/c of my post last night on NFR about the pit bull??? I just realized it was moved to the pet board (haven't been on all day).
I didnt even know you can report posts until I read in the other thread that is what the ! is for at the bottom.
