Today I remember Justin McCarthy, my 1st grade teacher's only child. I remember hearing that he was killed, and my heart just broke for her.

I went to HS with Keifer, I see his memorial poster every single day at the top of Lawson Boulevard.

 We lost a childhood friend, his baby girl was only a month old at the time not sure if his wife would want their last name posted...
Frankie in Astoria Queens.  He was only 26. Frank- Your daughter looks exactly like you. She wears your photo proudly and has your smile
and to the many, many precious angels that went up to heaven that day, you will never be forgotten..

Miki--I still can barely open that program from his service...it gets me hysterical. That was the hardest thing I ever attended, with the surfboard on the roof of his jeep behind the firetruck carrying a flag-draped coffin
And that picture at Lawson is an everyday reminder.
