Re: Toddler Arts & Crafts
One day DS came home from school with a black painted stryofoam bowl with a red dot on it. Sine he was only 20 mos, he couldn't tell me what it was. Turns out, it was a smoke detector.
Yesterday he had glued q-tips to a page to make a scheleton for halloween.
Over the weekend he got into my scrapbooking stuff so I gave him some old stickers to put on a piece of paper. They were words so he had no idea what it said but it got him out of my stuff.
We also put Thomas stickers on his pumpkin this year to decorate it b/c markers and paint seemed too messy for me. He called it his Thomas Pump(k)in. ***************************************** I think you can do a lot with toilet paper rolls.
I was thinking the week before thanksgiving to teach DS to count to five. Trace his hand to make turkeys with contruction paper and glue them to the TP rolls - then he go can turkey bowling

Re: Toddler Arts & Crafts
we like making centipedes with our paper towel rolls. pipe cleaners as legs, glue some eyes on, and he paints it.
we had such a great time this year making halloween costumes for our pumpkins.
he loves marble art. i take 2 marbles, put each in watered down paint. then put paper in a tupperware...roll marbles around and they leave paint trails.
we just started decopauging together. rosie o'donnels craft book is really good.
we have started collecting pine cones and are going to make pine cone people and pine cone christmas trees.
coffee filters are great too. color them with markers...then wrap it wet face cloth...pinch middle and wrap with pipe cleaner, we make butterflys.
paints macaroni and makes neckleces.
