Toddler Arts & Crafts- Town of Oyster Bay
Registration Underway for Town of Oyster Bay Toddler Arts & Crafts Program
The Town of Oyster Bay is introducing a special Toddler Arts & Crafts program for children ages 2, 3 and 4. Parents are invited to sign their little ones up for the program, which is slated to be held at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center, located at 1001 Stewart Avenue in Bethpage, according to Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph D. Muscarella.
The sessions are FREE of charge and open to boys and girls. The program will run from February 24th through April 3rd. The two-year-old program will be held on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Parents will be able to choose from the following classes for their three- and four-year-old little artists: Mondays 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.; Thursdays 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.; and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (one class per week, per child).
“Parents are always seeking out activities for their toddlers that are both safe and beneficial. The Town’s Toddler Arts & Crafts Program is designed with their age and grasping level in mind,” Councilman Muscarella said. “Craft activities help kids develop basic motor skills and encourage them to think innovatively. It will also introduce them to a new world of creativity that will likely carry over to other areas of their life.”
Councilman Muscarella noted that registration for the program will take place at the Town of Oyster Bay Parks Department Recreation Office, located at 977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa starting Monday, January 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m and will continue daily, based on availability. Space is limited. This program is FREE and open to Town of Oyster Bay residents only. Parents or guardians must be present, and a valid proof of residency, along with your child’s birth certificate, is required.
“Toddler Arts & Crafts provides a great opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled class that will help enhance your child’s creative mind and skills,” Councilman Muscarella said. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of this terrific program.”
