Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
Have any of you stopped using them. If you did how old is or was your DC.
My daughter is 22 months and we still use a monitor.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
havent used it since my first was a few months old
my boys wake up, walk over to the tv, and quietly watch tv. theyre very self sufficient in the mornings we usually hear their footsteps in seconds and wake up after them.
I may use it this summer if we leave the baby sleeping inside, but I doubt I would do that as I never did it for the past 2... Im usually close enough to just peek in.. maybe its just a matter of keeping the habit going.. I never did.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
A long long time ago... and then it came back at 17 months when DS moved to his toddler bed (we keep the door closed) it took a day or so to work out the kinks.. he needed a nightlight to find his way back into bed... then he decided the nightlight was annoying and would rip it out of the socket... before he would lay down and go to sleep) but that only lasted a few days.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
DS is 3.5 and we still use ours. He's on a different floor than us. He's had nightmares on occasion, and we also know when he wakes up with the monitor. We don't "need" to have it, but it's just piece of mind at this point.

That Anna, is my dream. I can't wait for the day that my kids are old enough to make themselves a cup of coffee and some toast and leave me the heck alone in the mornings!!!
I miss my lie ins!!!

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
DS is 19 months and we still use the monitor. In fact, I think we'll be using it for a long time. I have trouble sleeping and need to sleep with a white noise machine, so the monitors are the only way I'm able to hear the kids if they wake up.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
I figured I'd keep using mine until she graduated from High School This way she knows I'm always watching her!
Seriously, I will probably stop when she's comfortably in her toddler bed.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
My daughter is almost 3 and we still use it. I can't see not using it for her anytime soon. Even though she is a good sleeper now, she still have the occasional nightmare or what not. My house is large and she is on the other side of the house so I would have to. If i had a smaller home and her room was next to mine I would not use one.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
We use it in Molly's room now which is right next to Jacks. And he is not a quite boy, so if he wakes up or whatever, I can hear him through Molly's room!

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
I still use mine with Jared. Especially when we're in the basement and he's sleeping in his room upstairs.

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
I still use mine for my own peace of mind - but to tell you the truth I hear him better with out it. He yells/calls us much louder than the monitor when he wakes up...

Re: Toddler Moms--- Question about monitors
I gave my monitor (which is the best in the world btw) to my pregnant friend.
I'm getting them back so I can set them up when my kids reach puberty & have a girlfriend/boyfriend over.
We also have a small house.
