Toddler moms, do you do the same routine for nap time and bedtime?

DD goes down no problem at night, she has her milk then we brush her teeth and she goes right in the crib turns over and goes right to bed without a peep.

The nap is a different story. I know during the week MIL gives her milk and rocks her but lately she doesn't want to be put down after being rocked so we're trying to get her out of that habit.

I just tried giving her milk, brushing her teeth and putting her in the crib (like we do at bedtime) but she wasn't having it. She screamed bloody murder so I went in every couple of minutes and as soon as she saw me she would lay right back down. I did that a couple of times and then she still would scream once I left so I just waited a few minutes and she finally laid down. But she whined and rolled around for the last 20 mins... I think she's out now though.

Should I keep doing that bedtime routine for her nap too? Or do you do something different for naps?

We do the same exact routine for both (minus a bath)

We have the same routine for naps and bedtime. Minus the bath as well. The nap routine is a shorter version. Less books, less time brushing teeth (she would brush her teeth all day if I let her)

We have a different nap routine than our bedtime routine.

Loey naps here with me, here with my mom and also at daycare. With me/my mom he usually naps 2-2.5 hours (sometimes as much as 3). At daycare, usually 1-2 hours (1.5 on average).

At home, we sing him a little nap time song (that I made up when he was 6 months). I sing the song and then put him into the crib, cover him with his blanket and put his 2 stuffed dolls in the corners. I tell him to have a good nappie and then leave the room. That's it.

For bedtime, we don't associate baths with bedtime because baths get him riled up! He loves the bath way too much. We put on PJs and night diaper, brush his teeth, then read our night time book while I rock him. After that Steve says his goodnight, then I say mine and we put him in the crib.

Nighttime routine is brushing teeth, pj's, books, then bed. For naps, I just put her right in the crib and she's asleep in minutes. I just say, "It's nap time" and she gets her blankies and walks into her room.

Different routines. For nap time, I sing the nap time song from YGG and he sings along. I also tell him 5 or 10 minutes beforehand that nap time is approaching so we start looking for his lovey. When I put him in his crib I turn on the sleep sheep and keep singing the nap time song till I walk out the door and that's it. Bed time is PJ's brush teeth, books and sleep sheep.

Bedtime- Bath (on daycare nights), books, vitamins, brushing teeth, brush hair, sleep sack, cd then lights out

nap-sleepsack and cd, light out!

DS doesnt nap in his crib. He hates it for some reason and screams bloody murder. So we bought him a little sesame street pull out sofa bed and he naps there. When hes sleepy he goes and unfolds it and lies down. I lay next to him till hes relaxed and then i can get up and leave no problems.

No. Bedtime routine is bath (most days), milk, reading, bed.

Naps are mostly at daycare and I really don't know the routine there.

At home we are pretty random with naps. But usually when he seems like he's getting tired we just give him his lovey & pacifier and turn on his aquarium and he has been falling asleep. Sometimes he'lll yell for a little while but mostly now he is pretty good about it.

Thank you! Today she napped in the car since we went to ikea but i'm going to see if tomorrow MIL can just put her down in the crib after her milk and not rock her and see how she does.
