Toddler Moms: Specific Letters with words
Is your child picking up words that seem to start with the same letter?
In the past few weeks DD has mastered
Balloon Bubbles Blues Clues Banana
I just feel like all of her new words seem to start with B? Is this how it works?

Re: Toddler Moms: Specific Letters with words
Sorry to crash but I'm a speech-language pathologist...the "B" words are very easy for kids to acquire early on as the sound is easy to produce, is one of the earliest developing, and is very visual as they can clearly see how it is made! Enjoy this burst of language! It is a critical time in language development and a time of huge vocabulary gains!

DD loves the alphabet...but she can't say "C", so she says ABBB when she wants you to sing the alphabet song...so funny!

Re: Toddler Moms: Specific Letters with words
Caden isnt talking yet but he definitely loves "B"...he likes to blow his lips out Ba..Ba..Ba..and then he rumbles his cheeks...
I can definitely see how it would be a thing for kids....

At least your kid knows her own name. Luca doesn't say his name at all. When he sees pictures of himself he says "baby."
