DD has always had a blanket...her fav. is silk on one side and somewhat of a microfiber on the other and she also has a mini blanket in the shaper of a sheep that my mom got her for when we go out since it's not a full size.

As far as pillow she can lay on them all day long but at night she doesn't have one and I won't give her one until she's in her own bed.

Jared sleeps with two blankets...he has since 2. When he was little, I would use a tiny one.

My son is 15 months, and I still dont give him a blanket. I am too nervous. But he does sleep with a pillow, I think I started at a year due to advice from the ped.

Christopher literally has about 7 blankets in his bed. He has 3 of his blankie lately, plus two heavier blankets and his comforter that he decided he wanted one day.

He has had a blankie in his bed since birth tho.

I don't do blankets because I am too nervous. My son is 2 and he is a restless sleeper. He moves all over the place and i'm afraid he would tangle himself up in the blankets. He's fine with having no blankets on him. Actually he never really liked them on him...

Lily has had one since birth.
At one point, when she started rolling around, I took it out of the crib, and she started waking at night. I put the blanket back in, and she stopped waking up. She moves around a lot, and the blanket usually isn't on top of her, but she sleeps great with it, so it's staying!

neither of my kids are into blankets. Aly started with a flattened pillow from our bed...one day she started calling it hers, so we put it in her toddler bed. Maybe that was around 16 mths old?

My DD since day one, however, my son is another story. I tried to give him one from day one but at around 3 months I saw he pulled it over his face and went to sleep - needless, to say, he hasn't had one since then - he is now 10 months.

Re: Toddler moms: when did you feel comfortable to put a blanket on your DC?

DS always had a blanket of some sort, receiving blankets in the begining. Since about 1 (maybe younger) he has been using a hand made blanket my mom made him. It is knitted so it has holes, I never worried about that. No pillow yet at age 2. I guess when he goes in a big bed he will get a pillow.

Re: Toddler moms: when did you feel comfortable to put a blanket on your DC?

I want to do a blanket but my DD moves all over the place. I guess once winter comes I might try it. She is 23 months old. I really don't even think she is going to like it---we'll see.

She does have a pillow. I bought a tiny travel pillow that is in her crib. She more or less sleeps *with* it (like a stuffed animal) more than she ever does *on* it. It's kind of funny!

ds is 10 months and he sleeps with nothing - i just keep the room warm and put him in warm pajamas and he's fine.

it's probably unfounded at this point, but i'm still very nervous about blankets and pillows in the crib.

Re: Toddler moms: when did you feel comfortable to put a blanket on your DC?

See, I'm still too nervous for that. So this winter I still plan on using a Sleep Sack on DD. She's 13.5 months now. I just am more comfortable with that-- plus, her room is very cool in the winter, so I want her to be super cozy Chat Icon

I did not use a blanket with my son until about two years old, in a toddler bed. He got a pillow around then too, whe he asked for it.

DD is 13 1/2 months and does not use a blanket. I'm still a bit paranoid about it and DD doesn't seem to 'need' one anyway. Come Winter time, we'll see. I might try one out then!
