Toddler- sore throat & fever
DS (3 yrs.old) woke up yesterday with a fever- no other symptoms. I gave him motrin and he seemed fine all day. Got the fever back at night and again this morning. Now when he seems fine (again after motrin) but when he eats he screams it hurts. I'm assuming it's a sore throat. Should I give it another day or bring him to PM Pediatrics today? Also anything you can recommend to soothe his throat would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Toddler- sore throat & fever
don't want to be a debbie downer, but we have all been sick with this for a week and a half. I tested + for strep and then acording to doctors had a virus on top of that. Fever for 7 days over 103 for me. Landon of course caught it and we are on day 6 of fever now (goes up to 105 ugh!!). There is a BAD virus going around and unfortunately nothing but motrin/tylenol to do for it.

Oh man! Sorry to hear about you all being sick! Ugh hope that it's not going to last too long. I also have a 3 month old and pray she doesn't get it! Do you think I should bring him to the dr. today? I hate bringing him, he hates going, freaks out the whole time Maybe I should just call for now and see what they say. Feel better!

Re: Toddler- sore throat & fever
Thanks... the twins did get sick too, but their ended up being double ear infections and fever for a week.
Landon tested negative for strep, but since I tested + and he has been sick for a week now we just started antibiotics yesterday as precautionary.
Hoping its not this bad for you guys!
