Cold, cough, fever in toddler
My 3 1/2 year old has a cold - runny nose, cough etc and last night had a fever of 103.5. She wouldnt take any tylenol and eventually her temp came down without any medication. Her fever has gone for now but she still has a runny nose and cough, should I try giving her tylenol today( I will have to mix it in with something to get her to take it) or let her ride it out?
She has only had two colds in her lifetime! so this is all new to me.
TIA

Re: Cold, cough, fever in toddler
My 3 year old DS just had the same thing. My DS is never sick either infact I had no idea where the thermometer was its been so long since we used it. I only gave him medicine while had the fever. I was able to bribe him into taking the liquid tylenol from a syringe and then I also found these chewable tylenol which he took with very little fight. If the cough is bad or keeping him up I give him honey. Again thru a syringe. I find the honey works better then any cough medicine. Hope she feels better soon.

Re: Cold, cough, fever in toddler
Thanks. I guess we will just ride it out. I am so useless when it comes to this as its so not the norm in her house. It was my DH who asked me if she had a fever last night - I hadn't even thought to take it I better get up to speed now that she is at preschool and most likely will be bringing home lots of germies.
Thanks
