Toddlers and safety gates
I have two gates that are pressure mounted and my DD has been able to open them since she was 13 months old. I have tightened the pressure mounts, but she's still able to open them now at 20 months. Do I have defective gates?

My DS is able to open all gates i have tried (3 of them) that work in the areas we need them - as a result, i still don't have gates - if anyonehas any suggestions for ones they can't open i would appreciate it too! on all the reviews of gates i have looked at there always seems to be people saying their kids can open them. I don't know why they are SO cheaply made - two of them he was able to open by hitting them the right way - not even the correct way!

Re: Toddlers and safety gates
We have a pressure mounted gate that DD can open and one that she can't. The one at the top of our stairs is the one she cannot open (2 years old). This is it: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3191953

Re: Toddlers and safety gates
I use my doggie gates for keeping my DD in the living room. They are pressure mounted with brackets that are attached to the wall. It's hard even for me to open! I got them at Petco. Click Here
North States Pet Gate (same company makes the Superyard XL)

We have this retractable gate from One Step Ahead and my mom can't even open it.

I know exactly what you mean--go to buybuyb w/a coupon and see if they still have the link I sent to you. It's so hard to open...you won't be wasting your money!
