******UPDATE
Well Joey has grown even more he is at 3lbs 8oz . He is doing great thanks to all your prayers and blessings. THE BEST IS: I got to hold him tonight for the first time. He is sooo tiny I was so afraid at first. He was moved to an incubator which is a step up for him and he is on the cpap with just room air. I took more pics but will post them tomorrow. I am so happy but still scared at the same time. Thank you to all my friends here it means alot that I can have a safe haven to talk and be comforted. A BIG THANKS TO JANET!! If it wasn't for you big sis I think I would of lost it.

Great news, I'm glad joey is getting stronger and bigger and is being moved into a incubator.I will continue to pray for him.

****UPDATE
Just got back from the hospital...we were there all day. Joey ran a fever about 100.4 and lost about 4oz. His fever went away, but the took blood cultures and urine culture b/c all the test from last weeks fever came back neg. He is holding in his food and digesting it, so they said the weight loss could be because of the move into the incubator. So now we just have to wait for the results to see if its anything to be worried about. It will probally take a few days. Thanks again for all your wishes..

I know exactly what you are going through. I had my daughter at 29 weeks and 4 days on January 24th 2008. I was in the hosiptial for 24 days I had preclampsia. I feel so cheated out of nine months my due date is today. My daughter was very sick when she was born her lungs were not developed. She was on the vent for 2months. She just started breathing on her own last Wed March 26th. She had her heart sugery at 6 weeks to close her PDA. She was on so many machines. She is now on CPAP. When they took her off the vent she went to CPAP and then comfort flow. As of monday they had to put her back on CPAP. Having a baby in NICU is a roller coaster. You will have good days and bad days. When you get your good days live in the moment. When she was born she weighed 2lbs and 1oz now she weighs 5lbs and 3oz. She stills requires alot of care I don't know when she is coming home.When she come home she may need oxygen. They are feeding her from a feeding tube. She has to learn how to take a bottle. Just to remember to pray the burdens can be so heavy. I am writing a journal now and hope to publish it one day. It will be call cheated out of 9months my expriences as a preemie mom. ***UPDATE
Well there is good and bad news. Joey has gained alot of weight he is at 3.14 and his breathing is great. The only problem is his hear rate keeps dropping and today so far it happend 3x. As for now we are not aloud to hold him and he must stay in the incubator until it levels. I am requesting a cardio doc tomorrow when i see is normal doc. I also requested every time his heart rate drops to call me. Well thats it for now more updates when I find out whats going on.

still praying. SO hard with Nicu babies. It seems to be 3 steps forward, 1 step back. But it sounds like baby Joey is a fighter, so glad he is doing well.
