Heart issues are common with preemies. Most of my friend's children - all of who are rambunctious 6, 8 & 9 year olds (27 weeks, 28 weekers) were sent home with heart monitors. Glad you're being proactive about it.

***UPDATE
Well the roller coaster ride is starting up again. Joey is now back on the CPAP. His heart rate dropped about 10x yesterday. They tried to up his dose of caffeine, but it did not work. We went to see him last night about 2am and we have been there today. So far the CPAP has been working and so far no more drops in his heart rate. Thank you all for being here for me, and for your prayers.

***UPDATE
Well it's been a few days since I have posted anything...Joey is doing much better and is still on the CPAP, but he is now weighing 4.1 lbs. I started kangarooing with him again and it is once a day for an hour he can be out of the incubator. I talked with his doctor and she is now saying Joey might not be able to come home till mid June, which is ok by me b/c he will be on a few monitors at home. I have been doing a little bit better just tired and exhausted. Thank you all for your sweet prayers Joey has changed me alot and he is a fighter and with everyones blessings I am sure he will be fine TY everyone.

just some hugs and good wishes
one of my friends had 29 week twins at 2.5 lbs and 2.6 lbs and they were home after 6 weeks and are doing 100% great now.
There is hope..HAng in there.

***UPDATE
Sorry I haven't updated in so long. Joey is doing better he is at 4lbs and 8oz. Yes alot bigger now. He is still having problems with his lungs and heart. I have been trying to be up there at the hospital as much as possible now b/c he isn't on any machines for breathing anymore just monitors, and high pressured O2. They had to put him on some meds to get rid of the excess fluid around his heart and lungs to help him breath better. I have been so tired and so has Jay. I will be posting more pics maybe by tomorrow. Keep us in your prayers ty soo much.
