Too Early?
So, I just scheduled my first appointment. I am working with a new OB/GYN for this pregnancy because I had PRE-E last time around and I REALLY disliked my doctor. The appointment is for 6 weeks, 4 days and I feel like that is way too early. I think I'm going to have a ton of appointments this go around (way more than last time). Last time they wouldn't see me until 8 weeks. I feel like this is way to early and it's going to be a big let down. (I had a whole bunch of pre-appointments to have testing done before I became pregnant - so it's not that I don't want to be careful.) Am I nuts?
When was your first appointment?

Too Early?
It's not too early if you have a history of any kind of issues.
But know that unless you know the exact day of Implantation you may not see a HB.

Too Early?
I went in at 6w3d, and while it is early for most OB's, if you have a history of any complications they want to see you earlier. At 6w3d I saw a heartbeat.

Re: Too Early?
Not too early. I had my first appointment when I was 6 weeks and we were able to see the heart beat.

Re: Too Early?
My ob does first appts at that time for everyone. Both my pregnancies I went about 6w3ds and saw heartbeats both times.

Re: Too Early?
Being fertility I went for sono at 5.5 weeks, 6.5 weeks, 8 weeks and then to OB at 10.
At 5.5 all I saw was the sac. But my beta went up and it was cool to see. At 6.5 I saw a heartbeat. After that I felt so much happier and more confident this could be it. It may be early, but it's fun to see the progression.

Re: Too Early?
I have my first appt. this afternoon. I'm 6w5d and I had a blighted ovum and then D&C in May so they are seeing me earlier than under normal circumstances. I'm hoping we get see a heartbeat today. I share the same concerns as you.
Good luck!

Up to you. I waited till 8 weeks. Last time I had a miscarriage and there was no heart beat so we waited to make sure this time.
