Tooth fairy?
How do you manage playing tooth fairy? Do you put the money under their pillow? In what...an envelope, a special holder, nothing? Do you put in on a dresser?
Have you ever been caught?
There's really no reason for me to be asking this because my DD is 6 and still has no loose teeth! But I was just thinking about it recently. She's a really light sleeper and she also shares a room with her little sister, so there's double the chance of getting caught (although a brass band probably couldn't wake up DD#2).
I know when the time comes I am really going to be stressed about this!

Re: Tooth fairy?
Under the pillow in a little round wooden tooth fairy box. DD's was mine when I was a kid, I found a plain similar one for DS and Caroline (CheeChee Beans) painted it to be similar. I have to take pics and I'll post them.
Never been caught so far, DD is 6 and has lost 6 teeth, and 2 more are loose.

Re: Tooth fairy?
Never caught but it's because I often go in their beds to give them an extra kiss good night.
We just put money under the pillow. If I had something special, it would be a challenge. My son would lose teeth & not tell us to "test" if it was true. If there was a box involved, I'd need multiple ones because I'm sure he'd hide them.

Re: Tooth fairy?
Money gets slid under the pillow during her father "saying goodnight when he gets home from work".

Re: Tooth fairy?
We don't do money but we do toys. Ben put his note to the fairy -- in a clear ziplock bag -- under the pillow before he went to sleep. After he fell asleep I took his note out and put the note from "the fairy" and a small monster truck in the same bag and put it right next to his pillow with the corner tucked under it, so it's kind of under the pillow but not entirely so that it doesn't disturb his sleep. He woke up and found it right away!

Re: Tooth fairy?
These are the tooth fairy boxes we use. I put a quarter down to show the size.

Re: Tooth fairy?
I made my kids pillows with a spot to put the tooth. It's easier than getting under the pillow. I've almost been caught a few times, gotta get in and get out really quick. My DS is a heavy sleeper, DD not so much. Forgot one night too...the TF left double with an apology the next night. DS lost a tooth when we were at a relative's house during Hurrican Irene power outage. I wrote TF a note about who he was and why he was there instead of at home so she could find him. *Sigh* he's 9 so he will be a non-believer soon enough but I love that he still believes
