Total hours of sleep for almost 3 year old

My not even 2.5 yr old does 8-5 (if I'm lucky). She needs more sleep. She only naps once 45-90 minutes. It's sheer torture on me.

My son will be 3 in the beginning of Sept. He sleeps on avg. 9 1/2 hrs at night and anywhere from a 30 min-2 hr nap during the day.
He's still in the crib so if he's not falling asleep during his nap I just make him lay there, he'll eventually fall asleep.
We're switching him over to a twin bed in a week or so so we'll see how things go then.

DS will be 3 in October - he typically goes down by 9pm and wakes at 7am, and that is with a 2 hour nap. If he doesn't nap, he's down by 7pm and still sleeps till 7am. I would love for him to drop naps and keep that schedule LOL
