I'm really bad - I only use it once and I use 2 towels at a time (one for my hair, one for the body).
My husband uses it 2xs before it goes in the hamper.
I don't mind doing laundry so it doesn't bother me.

My mother liked us to use them once, so that's what I did growing up.
Around the time I moved to Manhattan in my 20s though and had to haul my laundry to a laundromat in a cart, I stopped doing this. I change the towel once a week.
DH is worse--sometimes I have to do it for him.

A co-worker of mine told me that her family only uses their towels one time before they go in the hamper...she told me she washes a load of towels a DAY! Am I crazy, or does that seem excessive??
OMG that is the biggest waste of water and detergent in the world. I change the towels every 2 - 3 days.

UGH, don't get me started!! My husband has openly admitted to using his towel "until it gets crusty"

Growing up it was only once and then maybe twice - mom did laundry alot.
Now that the laundry is in the basement (we're in a co-op) and costs money (quarters) - its more like three days to aweek - eek!
