I have to tell you that I am crying as I write this, and people that know me, know that I don't cry too easily. But I feel so much for you and your family. As other PP's said, you are a very strong person. I am so sorry. Caleb was absolutely beautiful and his life was taken too soon. I wish I could say something more, I don't know, deep or profound or something but I really could only say what I feel. I feel glad that you posted his pictures because he is so gorgeous, and I'm glad you posted your story because I hope it made you feel better.  You always post on the parenting boards and you're so helpful. Your daughters are beautiful too and I want you to know that you're always in my thoughts and I hope that makes you glad, eventhough you don't know me.

I feel like I can barely breathe right now. Thank you so much for sharing something so personal with us. You and you husband are so strong. I can't say anything more that hasn't already been said. Caleb and your story will always be in my heart even though we've never met.

I never came onto this board until a couple of days ago. I read this and was literally sobbing, but was at a loss for what to say. Thank you for sharing your story. I personally feel that every parent should read this. I know that after reading it, I held my DD and DS a little tighter.
Caleb is a beautiful little boy. Your strength amazes me.

I just want to add that I just read your whole story and I am actually crying...it is so strange because even though I do not "know" you, my heart aches for you. You went through something that NO ONE should ever have to go through
I admire your strength and I will continue to keep your dear caleb in my thoughts

Brooke(our second DD) is 141 days old....
Caleb was 141 days old when we took him of life support. The more kids we have that "get older" than Caleb the more I feel jipped! We didn't have enough time to hold him, our families didn't know him and I feel terrible because only a few family members have even met Brooke, I feel that if "God forbid" anything were to happen to her our families would miss out on knowing a great baby. I am so sick of having to be scared of losing my children. I woke up at 3 in the moring and put my hand on Brooke's belly and I couldn't feel movement so I started screaming and shaking her. It seemed like it took forever to wake her and I had all of these horrible thoughts running through my head. I hate this. No parent should have to feel this!

you're right, no one should ever have to endure this kind of pain. Again, I'm so sorry from the bottom of my heart. I really do think about your family and Caleb quite often.

what a strong woman you are and what an amazing tribute to Caleb by writing that post...you have touched many without realizing it.
There is a reason that God decided to bless you with Caleb and now your two adorable girls...I think they are all lucky to have you as a mother... May each passing day be a testament to that...

I can't stop crying after reading your incredibly harrowing experience with your beautiful son. I can't imagine the strength G-d had to give you to do what you did and ultimately learn to put one foot in front of the other. Your son looks like an angel and I am just so deeply sad for you and your husband. My heart aches for you both.
So deeply sorry and sorrowful. I miss your son and I never knew him.

I can't tell you how badly I feel for you and reading this thread has me crying all over.
Your little boy is definitely watching over you and your girls....and you are doing the right thing by keeping his memory alive.

Amanda - I can barely see as I am typing this. What you went through - I would just die. My heart breaks for you still. Caleb lives on in your hearts and your memories - and of course in those two gorgeous little girls you have.

my head is spinning with such emotion right now, I don't even know how to explain what I feel.
My DS just turned 5 months and bears a similar resemblance to Caleb....
Just imagining what you went through......I can't........it would have killed me....................

3 years ago today was the day we took Caleb off life support. While I am still heartbroken I can't help be be thankful that I got to spend almost 5 months being his mom. I am not sure why this happened to our son...our family, but I am truly happy that God chose us to be his parents
