TOH is taking their sweet time recently.

I was going to do a Portico before I decided to actually sell my house.

Submitted the plans for the Portico... it was 4 weeks and they didn't even look at it.

Re: Town OF hempstead - Permit

I'm in the Town of Islip... I got my permits 1 year and 5 days after I submitted them......

There were variances involved, but that's still an insane amount of time....

Town of Oyster Bay took us 12 weeks for the permit and 14 weeks for the C of O! Nothing is ever easy. Hopefully yours will take less time.

Ugh, how frustrating! I didn't know you could pay for expediting it - I totally wanted to grease the examiner.

Re: Town OF hempstead - Permit

I know they are backlogged by over 2 - 3 months because my MIL gave up waiting for her permit to add on to the kitchen and add an upstairs bath. It is ridiculous. I remember when the wait was not even a month but that was 3 - 4 years ago. She wanted it done before winter so she said forget it.

Re: Town OF hempstead - Permit

My contractor paid $1800 to get it approved. They are starting next week. I cannot wait because as of right now we are living with boxes everywhere. I have had a POD in my driveway since September 25th because the contractor said to get it then and I am now getting my second POD tomorrow because there is no way all of my furniture can fit in 1 POD.

My entire house including the garage has to be empty ugh

That is to grease the examiner- a lot of corruption goes on over there.
