Town of Oyster Bay.... is it legal to run a business
out of your home? Questioning some activity going on at a neighbors. Thanks!

it probably depends on what type of business it is, how much traffic the home gets, etc.

You will need a permit. I know that because I asked the township (same township). You have to fill out paperwork too.
In addition, they will ask you the type of business. How it would inpact your neighborhood, like if clients come to your house, if they will park in the street. How often during the day, etc..?
AND your taxes might be higher.
So call the township to see how you can verify someone is "legally" working out of their house.
