Town soccer?
I want to register DD for soccer in the fall. My town appears to have a league but when I go to register it links to Plainedge soccer club, which isn’t an issue, I’m just a little confused.
Do most towns have a soccer league? Can you only play for the league in your town? I have no idea what I’m doing, I’m out of my element. Please help.

It depends. Our town has one run by the PAL

You can play for any league with soccer. We play for the town next to us because they are better organized and have more teams.

I'm not sure if that's accurate. I know for DS's baseball you have to prove you live in our town.

You can also check the Catholic leagues. Even though we're not Catholic, DC played on the local Catholic soccer and track leagues for 10+ years combined.

With ours the fee is a little more if you are a non resident

Baseball is different because they follow the little league rules.

This. We play in a town club league that is 20 minutes from us. We have also tried out at a few different town leagues

This. We play in a town club league that is 20 minutes from us. We have also tried out at a few different town leagues
We also play outside of our local town league. I know our league will accept players for intramural from outside, though we play through their travel program.

Town soccer?
We are Farmingdale and they have a pretty good league from what I've heard. If you're not in the district you pay an extra $50.
