Yep, I've got one, though I don't really see her as a "friend" anymore. I'm annoyed at myself over the whole thing because I thought I was a better judge of character than that. It's taken me a while to realize that this person just can't stand to see anyone else happy and I don't need a friend who wishes me ill will.

I have a toxic co-worker. Everything turns into a HUGE drama issue - both professionally and personally.
I wish I could phase her out, but it looks like I'm in for the long haul!

Yes! I now refer to her as negative nancy. I mean, my lord, the most negative person in the world. The worst part is it took me so long to realize that she was bringing me down to her level.
Now I am back up to mine. :)

She's a total drain, and good riddence, although I know I will miss her after a while I just can't take it anymore.
I agree, I think its part of a maturing process, these things happen as we grow, right?

Yes, I have had a toxic friend in my life who gladly is no longer in it. She did bring some good qualities to the friendship but when it becomes too much work to be friends with someone - it's time to cut them loose

I had two that I have recently parted ways with and I couldn't be HAPPIER! Their problems have been consuming my life for two years. I helped them through life changes and it was unappreciated. They USED my family, my home and my trust and I was so tired and done with their lies and bs. They didn't care about anything that was going on with me it was only about their lives and their warped perception.
My family was done helping too. My DH didn't even want one of them in our house anymore. Well needless to say when I told him that this was done, first he was LIVID at the things that one person said to me but then he literally danced and sang a song that starts with ding dong 
My mother on the other hand feels very betrayed by one because she was so ingrateful to all the help that she had given her and advice. Now I know better never to let my friends use me or my family again. Seriously I have not felt this free in 3 years it AWESOME!!!!!!!! Back to only dealing with the normal and the sane!
