toys r us return policy
anyone know what their story is? is it as horrific as babies r us?
DD got a number of gifts from there with no gift receipt that need to go back. Seriously, how many Dora's does the kid need!

Sometimes they can take something back if you give them the phone number of the person that bought it. (And if the person gave it when they bought it.) A few months ago we received a broken toy, with no receipt. I tried to exchange it and they wouldn't let us.

honestly I've found most stores getting strict. Can you regift? DD and DS got a few duplicates and they are good toys. I have so many friends with kids I'm just putting them away and will save money when their birthdays come.
Just a thought.

I went to TRU today to return a gift that DS received. It is a shape sorter for a 6 month old. DS is 16 months old and had one when he was much younger. The woman at TRU said that they will not take any returns without a receipt or gift receipt. There were about 20 signs posted with the same thing. She said that although they carried the toy they would not take it back. I was so upset. A thread where we could post these things is a great idea.
