Train Question
I have to be in the city for a job interview tomorrow by 9:45. Since I'm a novice when it comes to city travel, I was wondering which station would be best for parking to catch an 8am train? I'm coming from Levittown so my two immediate options are either Hicksville or Bethpage. Normally, I don't worry about this, but given the circumstances, I want to be as punctual as possible. Anyway, TIA

Re: Train Question
By that time in the AM you're not going to find anything in Wantagh - you're better off going to Hicksville and parking in the mall parking lot if need be -
I'm not sure if you need a sticker to park in Hicisville ........
I DO know that if you go to Seaford, you can park in the far South West lot w/o a sticker and you can usually find parking at that time -

Re: Train Question
I don't go there, but isn't the Hicksville parking lot closed for repairs now? I would check on this--I think if you look on LIRR's site and pull up the station, there is a phone number for the station.

Yes, I checked the LIRR site and it said the parking lot is closed with all parking being diverted to the Southwest corner of the Broadway Mall. I think I can just park there and walk if nothing else, though it'll be even more crowded than usual.

To park in the special areas designated for the LIRR and to get the shuttle bus to the station, you do need a sticker on your car. You can probably park and walk over though. You'll probably have the best selection of trains out of Hicksville.
