Transition from bassinet to crib

New home, new crib for Gianna and with being in the house for 4 days now,
I havent had the heart to part with Gianna and let her sleep in her crib.
She is 5 months old.

She also DOES not sleep through the nite...So I am nervous for her and me.
Ya know, me actually having to get out of my room, out of my bed. ha.

I know I need to do this.....Soon.

How did you do it?

Re: Transition from bassinet to crib

My DD was about 6 weeks old when I moved her to her crib. She was getting too big for the bassinet and she would wake up cause her feet would be squished at the bottom. The 1st night was hard for meChat Icon she slept great. It got easier each night. I don't think she missed me as much as I missed her.LOL I couldn't bring myself to put her bassinet away for 2 months. I came home and my DH had packed it up. I think that was harder for me then moving her to her crib. She slept through since she was 7 weeks old

Re: Transition from bassinet to crib

I was going to wait until he turned three months - but my little man was so big that I would wake up with his face smushed against the bumpers....that was it for me, I had to get him into his crib.

I thought I would be a mess - but it was easy. I sleep better - he sleeps better. DH and I can actually have conversations at a normal level now.

I say GO FOR IT!

How is the new house coming along anyway? Glad you finally moved in. Once you are settled we will have to def. make a playdate!
