Transition from formula to whole milk
DD is now drinking 20 oz. of formula. The nurse said to gradually add milk by taking out an oz of formula and adding milk. She is drinking 4 bottles. The nurse said your goal is to make sure she eats more food.
At one year how many ounces of milk are your children drinking? Do you think I should cut one bottle out so she eats more food?

Re: Transition from formula to whole milk
My dd is 13 months. She takes a 7 ounce bottle when she wakes and before bed. SHe drinks maybe an ounce or two in her sippy with lunch and an afternoon snack. She does drink a lot of water from her sippy all day long.

My DD is 18 months and ped said no more than 24 ounces of milk a day- not sure if the same holds for younger babies.

Re: Transition from formula to whole milk
Ped said 16-24oz a day, but she prefers him to be closer to 16oz and start eating more snacks and having less bottles. Even though he gets 4 6oz bottles a day, 2 of them he usually only has half of, so I'd say he's doing about 18oz. I'm going to try and get that down and add another daily snack.
