Transitioning Rabbit to the Outside
I have a rabbit for about 3 years now. The indoor cage is getting to be a real hassel.
We just got her a hutch and we have had her in the hutch for a few days (inside).
I really want to make her an outdoor bunny, especially as the weather gets warmer.
Today, we put her outside (the cage faces the sun). Is it warm enough to keep her outside or do I need to bring her in at night?
I don't want to put her in shock and I have no experience with this!

Re: Transitioning Rabbit to the Outside
We have 3 bunnies. I know that the upkeep can be a PITA but I would really hesitate to make her an outside bunny, especially if she has been indoors for the past 3 years. Even slight temperature fluctuations can send them into shock or stasis and they can easily have a heart attack if scared by predators outside. However if you still decide to do it, I would wait until the weather gets much warmer.
