Travel Dilemma - Too big for crib but not yet sleeping in a big bed
We are going away in Sept and have learned that our hotels cribs are too small for Kevin. He hasn't slept in a big bed yet and the only other thing available for him is a rollaway bed.
Where does your toddler sleep when staying in a hotel? Has anyone ever tried a blowup travel bed designed for kids?
Help!

We are renting a cottage out East for a few days. The faciliy has cribs or cots.
Did they offer cots to you?
Otherwise I would get a twin blow up mattress.

Re: Travel Dilemma - Too big for crib but not yet sleeping in a big bed
We have these Aerobeds and my ds who still sleeps in a crib stayed in it all night. They were great, set up fast, deflate fast. When I was looking around earlier this year Walmart had them for the best price, and I did site to store shipping which is free. Aerobed for Kids at Walmart

Re: Travel Dilemma - Too big for crib but not yet sleeping in a big bed
I have put my DS in a bed and rolled up sheets/pillows etc and tucked them in the fitted sheet at the edge of a bed to make a make shift bumper type of thing (alos put cushions on the floor) and when he was a bit younger he slept w/ me and DH...

I use the one that CathyB posted and it works fine. Kevin first used it at around a little over 2 (he was still in a crib at home). He is almost 3.5 and has used it twice this summer for trips.

Thanks for the ideas. We did request a rollaway for DS but I think we may look for one of the travel beds shown above just in case the bed doesn't work out.

could you get a cot from the hotel and just bring those side bars and put them on it.

We have a blow up travel bed we bought at onestepahead.com and it has been great for us. DS started using it when he was about 2-1/2, and loves it.
