Travel Questions?
So we FINALLY booked our trip! We're going to St Thomas in December woohoo!! Anyway, DD will be just shy of a year then, do I bring a pack n play with me or take the roll away crib the hotel provides me. We're staying at a rather good hotel, but still not sure....Also DD will need a passport, I'm assuming it's the same protocall as an adult to get a passport... Any other suggestions would be GREAT!!!
Thanks!!!!!

Re: Travel Questions?
We haven't traveled with DS yet. He's only 2 months, but we're going to Aruba in Feb and he'll be 9 mos. We plan on taking a pac-n-play b/c when we were there this past Feb when I was prego the hotel person said they have pac-n-plays, but a lot of parents bring it on the beach even though it's not allowed. If you're staying at a hotel maybe bring your own sheets and you'll be fine. We're staying at a timeshare and I've seen their pac-n-plays on the beach with kids.
We plan on taking it in a golf bag. A friend suggested that. We aksi have to get DS a passport. Funny thing is it's good for 5 years so he'll have his infant pic with him when we're traveling with him at 5.
Have fun! Love St Thomas! We plan on getting some cheap beach stuff now that it's the end of the season so it's cheap and we'll take it to Aruba. Probably just leave it there too if it was cheap enough..

I know! Me neither... some pple take advantage. I guess they think it's not theirs. I'm sure the hotel crib is fine. Like I said... the only reason I don't trust the Marriott's pac-n-play at the timeshare is b/c the ones they give away get taken on the beach.

Re: Travel Questions?
We have traveled with DS at 3 months, 8 months, 15 months and now just over 2.
I would just use what the hotel provides for a crib, one last thing to worry about getting to your final destination.
Plus, going to the beach at a resort right there is easier than going to the beach at home, you just go to the room if they get too hot
You need to both be there for her to get a passport, and you can get the picture taken wherever (we did DS' at CVS) and it is good for 5 yrs.
ETA-I would always take my own sheets/toys/bed things like that, even if the hotel provides them

Re: Travel Questions?
Thanks! The sheets are just regular crib size sheets or pack n play sheets or should I bring both just in case? Also, she's going to be in my lap on the flight does she get to check a bag..LOL, I tend to overpack... Also, how does formula and things like that work to get through the gate?

I have to agree.
We went to Turks and Caicos with DD when she was just turning 8 months. We used the crib they provided and it was absolutely fine. I brought all her sheets/blankets and animals to make it like home. I left a note on the crib each day telling housekeeping to just leave the crib the way it was, not to change anything.

IMO, you can just use regular crib sheets, even if it is a pack and play, it will fold under and DC isn't tiny teeny when you go, KWIM?
I've always checked a bag for each of us, even when DS was a lap child, but we fly Southwest and they don't have the same restrictions...
As for formula, I packed enough for the day we were traveling, and then checked a big can, it got crushed, but the formula was fine (we used powder)
