Re: Travel Tips?
I don't know if he watches any tv yet but we always bring our portable dvd player with us when we fly with DS. It keeps his busy almost the whole flight. But he is a dvd addict lol.

Re: Travel Tips?
We love the portable DVD player, must haves for the plane are plenty of food, snacks, drinks... whatever DC is up to in that regard and purell. I also like to take a big plastic bag to place my stroller in at the gate check before they take it away-it keeps it a little cleaner and is easy to stash in the stroller carry bin (also place a luggage tag with name and address on stroller before you go!). If you are staying at a resort call ahead to see if they have a pack and play if so LEAVE YOURS HOME-It is a struggle and weighs you down. I have found especially in FL most places have them all I bring are my own sheets and whatever things DC likes to sleep with. I have to say FL is a great trip because mostly whatever I needed I could find so don't worry. Have a great trip. (Oh and don't think I am horrible but on DS first plane trip we used Benadryl-but try it out first not the day of the trip some kids have adverse reactions-like getting more hyper!!! BUt we were going to Hawaii and it was a LONG trip so I was afraid he would need it and it worked like a charm he was happy and everyone loved him on the flight)

Re: Travel Tips?
We took John when he was 11 months old to Hawaii. That was a really long trip . This is what I found useful:
1.When taking off and landing give him a bottle so he can suck and drink his milk. This helps the pressure in his ears.
2. Bring snacks (if you give him any) besides his regular meals.
3. Since it is a short trip, pack a toy or two and same goes for books.
4. Bring extra pair of clothes and diapers along with bottles and food just incase something were to happen.
5. If you are going to bring his car seat on the plane, let him out after an hour and walk around.
When are you going? We are going on Tuesday. We fly into West Palm Beach on American.
