Tri State Area
Any suggestions on affordable areas in the tri-state area?
NJ? Westcher? CT?
Maybe somewhere they are hiring teachers and DH can still make a good living (Accountant).
As much as I would love the south I don't know how reasonable that is at this point. I am figuring maybe if I can find somewhere 1-2 hours away or less then I might be able to convince him!

Re: Tri State Area
I'm in the same boat as you, except elementary education. I just got my paperwork in for CT certification. Something's gotta give at this point. I know Connecticut is more affordable the further north you go. DH and I have to stay close to Manhattan because of his job, I'm just hoping this opens a few more doors for me. I'm ready to leave teaching altogether at this point because I feel stagnant being a per-diem sub. I've been looking for the last three years and I'm pregnant and I can't wait around for the market to change.

Re: Tri State Area
If you included Pa. in your criteria, houses are very reasonable here!!! My DH is a builder. Mary
