I am hoping it was a joke but the show is SO different from the books, you never know.

i have read all the books, you can FM me if you have any questions if you like...
allan ball was 100% joking w/ the answer to the last question about who kidnapped bill. there is no way that would ever fit into the storyline no matter how much they are straying from the books.
i have a few theories:
lorena
eric or someone eric sent
one of the queen's henchmen
and very unlikely, but an interesting plot twist: hadley
