Trump team discussing Muslim Registration System.
As an imigrant you technically register when you apply to a green card and I have no issues with that but i would think its disgusting to have a separate list based on religion Also know that when you come into the country as a tourist they take one finger print and address of where are you staying and duration of trip

Was anyone really going after guns?
I mean shouldn't we all want universal background checks/psych evals and registration?
If you are a responsible gun owner then all Those shouldn't be a problem Right?
Gun owners i know were truly afraid of their right to own a gun and some mainly voted for Trump because of this.
Same here (I mean people I know) but nobody was planning. In taking them right?
Not to my knowledge. They've been saying that for years. One of the big things I saw going around was that Clinton was going to repeal the 2nd amendment which would be virtually impossible but people hear what they want to hear.

Based on a quick Google search, it would apply to people immigrating from countries with a high terrorist rate that happen to be Muslim, and it also seems to be the same program we had under bush and Obama from 2002-2011.
Not quite as sensationalist as your thread topic implies.
Exactly THIS! But why should facts get in the way of a sensationalized story.

Actually, the NY SAFE act has many many parts which makes it an eventual gun confiscation, which is completely unconstitutional. The fact that other states are looking to emulate our gun restrictions is even scarier: the Jews were also disarmed by the Nazis in the 1930's
The safe act was an attempt to make people "feel" safer. It hasn't gotten any guns off of the streets. You're not going to see gangbangers walking into a gun store flashing their license

The Weimar Republic had strict gun control laws. The argument that if Jewish people had had guns in Nazi Germany, the Holocaust would have never happened is refuted by many historians. It is, however, used by the NRA, which critics say is offensive.
Oh and here's a source if you want.

I can't seem to find anything that says that any guns have been actually confiscated except for one article about taking guns away from the mentally ill which honestly I have no problem with.

There is a provision for certain types of assault weapons (which I have no problem outlawing) but the owner DOES NOT have to surrender, they can have them modified to be in compliance or stored out of state if they want to keep it. The choice is theirs.

Sounds reasonable to me.
