trying to decide on a game for our gaming table...which do you like best?
so, RH has these gorgeous versions of Monopoly and Scrabble that will look awesome on our game table.
the trouble is deciding between the two.
I love both games for different reasons...just seems like a different kind of fun...
so my question to you is...if you were coming over to my house to play a game, which would you want to play?
Monopoly
or
Scrabble
not that it matters, but I am awesome at Scrabble and only ok at Monopoly.  we already have dirty Jenga and are stocked for Strip Poker...this is for nights after church

we can't get into monopoly in my house without a fight breaking out somewhere along the way.... it takes forever!

that's the problem!! the colors of the wood the games are set in are the same....so it's just the game board that is different.
I am thinking I am going with Scrabble.
first, b/c of it's overwhelming support here and second

hmm, what are the other colors in the room? i like the game, scrabble more than monopoly but in re: to decor, i like the variations of colors in the monopoly game more than scrabble. TOLD you i am totally anal about decorating.

ok, i totally misread the OP. i thought it read "DH" not "RH". i was assuming that your DH had both games and you were asking which one to display. yes, MAJOR blonde moment. anyway, after re-reading and viewing the price, i would purchase whichever game you would use most.

I'm glad that you are going with Scrabble...we have that one and it's definitely something DH and I can play together - we don't HAVE to have people over - I always felt Monopoly with 2 people is lame...and plus it takes too long (although there are ways to shorten it - you move a token around the board each time someone has a turn and when it reaches PP - game is over)
we also have Yatzee and Uno for group game night.

What are the other options? Actually, a checker/chess board would look cool in a table.
Esp. an antiquey table = older classic games.

of those options, I'd go with scrabble
but if it were in my "imaginary" house with my "imaginary" game table....I'd pick backgammon (like the good Armenian that I am)
