Re: tubes and adnoid surgery
There was a mom on LIF who's daughter had this. I believe the recovery was fairly quick.
DS #1 had his adenoids and tonsils out at the same time when he was 3. The adnoids didn't bother him at all during recovery, it was the tonsillectomy that was hard.
DS #2 had tubes put in at 10 mo. and he came home and slept for a few hours and was fine by the next day.

Re: tubes and adnoid surgery
My son was born in May 2009 and he had tubes put in and adenoids done July 2010.
Our ped recommended tubes and adenoids. We saw two ENTs. One was for adenoids, one was against.
We wound up doing both because the second ENT was shocked at the state of his adenoids and all that was trapped behind them
Overall, that day was much harder on me than my son. They gave him a sedative - the effects of which I hated seeing. They took him in and he was out an hour or so later.
He woke up very unhappy in recovery, but I sat in a recliner with him and held him and gave him a bottle. Once he drank and rested for a while, he was better.
Took him home and he was sluggish for the day, but didn't seem to be in much pain at all. I stayed home with him the next day and he was back to his old self.
On a side note - many people disagreed with me doing the tubes/adenoids. I have yet to have an ear infection or bad cold since July. This from a kid who was sick every week last winter. I have lost count of how many ear infections/sinus issues he had in the winter of 2009. Surgery is always risky, and it's not a pleasant experience, but so far the benefits have outweighed all of that.
Good luck!

DD did. The worst part was the anticipation. There was little aftercare and she was herself within the day.

My DD have tonsils adnoids and tubes out at 5y/o i thought the recovery was tough. Maybe it was her age or everything together.

Tonsils are the tough recovery. Adenoids and tubes are relatively easy.
