Re: Tummy Time
Don't get frustrated if DC doesn't like tummy time when you start. My DD hated it from the get go and it wasn't until around 7 1/2 - 8 months that she would lift herself up on her arms, roll over, and play on her tummy. Not all babies like it. Try it a couple of times a day for a few minutes at a time and see how it goes but once you see they are getting upset don't torture them......flip them back over.

Re: Tummy Time
We did from birth as well. My ped told us 15 minutes a day. DS could hold his head up but not for the entire 15 minutes. I was always right next to him incase he did a face plant and couldn't turn his head. That never happened though he was always able to turn his head and rest on his cheek.

Re: Tummy Time
We've been putting DS on his tummy on top of us since birth. He'll lift his head up and look at us.
He is now 2 months old and is just starting to like his playmat face up. When we put him face down, he looks kind of awkward and doesn't like it yet.

Re: Tummy Time
When we got her home from the hospital. We try to increase DD's tummy time each day a few minutes to build her strength up.
