Re: Tummy Time Question

I started dd right away...she will hate it and probably cry but try to do like 5 minutes a day for now. It is good for them to develop their neck muscles Chat Icon

Re: Tummy Time Question

I tried it for mere seconds when DD was first born. That's all she would last before crying. Just do it a little more and more each day and you'll be amazed and just what that can do.

Now she loves tummy time, she'll talk and giggle when she's doing it.

ASAP. If she hates it, try to pat her back softly.

Re: Tummy Time Question

Ladies - How early did you start using the Activity Mats for tummy time? Right from the beginning? DS is 3 wks and wasn't sure if I should start with it yet. Thanks

Right away. I used the activity mat in the first couple of weeks -- basically just as a place to put DD (the "activity" part of it came into use later).

Re: Tummy Time Question

We did it right away, although DD used to always fall asleep (she loves sleeping on her belly). Now that she's used to sleeping on her back she doesn't fall asleep anymore, but she really doesn't like it. We try and do it for a couple of minutes a few times a day.
