Tummy Time/Sleeping question...
My DS is only 3 weeks old...and he seems very strong. WE have been trying to do tummy time, but yesterday and today, he played with us, and then fell asleep. I know stomach sleeping is a no no, but he is so peaceful right now...is it ok to leave him like this as long as we watch him???

Re: Tummy Time/Sleeping question...
I wouldn't move him. I used to let DD sleep on her stomach in the beginning as long as I was right there. As the months went on, I'd nap her on her belly. I would just check on her a lot.

Re: Tummy Time/Sleeping question...
i am a mommy of a belly sleeping baby!!!!
he has slept through the night since hes been 2 weeks old b/c he sleeps on his belly...
I have the angelcare montior which gives me peace of mind that he is "breathing".. it works, regardless of what anyone tries to tell you otherwise-- the NICU puts all their babies on theor bellies and they use the same monitor...
FM if you want more info
edited for atrocious spelling!!

Re: Tummy Time/Sleeping question...
DD sleeps on her tummy - she just sleeps so much better than on her back. We started her with naps on her belly when we were right there - then moved to nighttime belly sleeping at around the same time as your DC - I slept on the couch in the beginning because I kept freaking out - but she's fine and is a GREAT sleeper.

DS is a belly sleeper and sleeps so much better. It helps with his gas too.

Re: Tummy Time/Sleeping question...
Im sure its okay. I dont have a belly sleeper at all. She hates her belly and cant stand 30 seconds on her belly and she is 7 months old.
She is a good sleeper on her back. Sleeps 11 hours straight
