Re: Twilight Movie
I saw the movie last night-- and I was pretty disappointed. I mean, it was good in the sense that I liked seeing the story and characters brought to life-- but, something was just off.
It was totally cheesy, and some of the important dialogue just did not translate to the screen. I don't know who to blame-- the actors or the director.
I actually really liked the casting for Bella and Edward. Rob Pattison is so hot-- so, that was fine for me. They had good chemistry as well-- but, you didn't really see them fall in love... they were just bam, in love.
I don't get why Jasper was such a doofus. The actor who plays Jacob is adorable-- but the fake wig they had on him was HORRIBLE. In general, some of the things they changed for the film I felt didn't make sense.
All in all-- I'll still be lined up to see the next one, but this one kinda blew werewolf balls.

this is a movie for teenagers....or atleast that is how it was billed by BBCA. cheesy should be expected!
ITA. I read the book and saw it as a vampire version of sweet valey high. MSN had it as a "moody teenage vampire" movie, I found that to be most fitting.

I was thinking the same exact thing when I was watching the movie. THey skipped over large parts, like when he showed up at school again after missing several days, he never goes on to explain where he is. THey definitely did not show their feelings grow for one another, atleast not until the very end.

Re: Twilight Movie
I saw it last night and I loved it! They did change parts and leave a lot out, but it was generally the same...I do think people should read it before seeing it. I thought all of the Cullens were great! I didn't think the sparkling was that bad either. DH was like i kind of like that girl(Bella)...and i was that's ok because i like her boyfriend! I don't think Robert Pattinson is all that attractive...but all made up like Edward Cullen I think he is soooo dreamy

No surprise there.... The budget for the movie was only 37 million-- let's hope the next one is a bit more polished!!!
I saw another movie last night, and I saw the trailer again for Twilight and I said to DH-- I kinda want to see it again. So, maybe I did like it more than I thought!! I just love being immersed in their story is all..
Glad to hear Summit confirm they are doing New Moon!!

I thought the movie was missing ALOT, but I still enjoyed it. I was a bit disapointed in Bella. I thought her acting was horrible.

I saw it last night and I LOVED it!!! I didn't love the teenagers behind me talking the whole time, which makes me want to see it again, but I thought it was great..
Although I didn't like Jasper.. He looked like he was smelling something really bad and just didn't have a personality..
But other than that, I really liked it.. I want to see it again, but I don't know if DH will go with me again

See i thought he played it right...he was supposed to be uncomfortable around humans because he was the newest to the "vegetarian life"...so that's why he looked "constipated" lol...evertime he was on screen everyone laughed...i thought it was cute.

Re: Twilight Movie
I liked it, didn't love it, but liked it. I feel that they rushed through some parts, but went painstakingly slow through others.
The sparking looked rediculous, and the running up the hill was put best by a friend "He looks like the hiker from the mountain game on The Price is Right"
Hopefully they'll be able to have a larger budget next time to help tweak the special effects. Take the path that HP did, start with a bit too much cheese, then make more serious, polished films.
The excruciatingly slow kissing scene though... HOT!

Re: Twilight Movie
I really enjoyed it they had a small budget and I think they did a pretty good job the acting needs some work. They had had such a short time to develope s o many charaters the next movie they won't have to do that so we will be able to get more of what we love.
