Ugh. 21 weeks and Zpack....
I know it is one of the only antibiotics that is appoved, but I feel terrible, have a slight fever and my throat is so swollen.
I also exhausted a LOT of my saved-up time with DD bc I needed bedrest (blood pressure) and then she was 9 days late.
I had to take off last Monday for a TERRIBLE cold and now I am probably going to need tomorrow :( I've been sick for almost 3 weeks.
Please reassure me the zpack is ok.....
Otherwise just venting....

Re: Ugh. 21 weeks and Zpack....
ugh.. bummer. I had a sinus infection a few weeks ago and was put on an antibiotic. I was upset that I had to take the meds, but you know what? I felt better within a day. totally worth it. My doc said it was totally safe. feel better!

The z-pack is fine! I was on it at the start of November for an ear infection.
Hope you feel better soon, Jen! I know it sux! Try drinking chamomile tea at night to relax, prop up your head when sleeping and drink lots of fluids.

Re: Ugh. 21 weeks and Zpack....
I had to take it during the 1st tri -
I took it, I got better - If I didn't take it, I would have ended up w/ Bronchitis or Pneumonia .......lesser of 2 evils IMO

Re: Ugh. 21 weeks and Zpack....
I had to take amooxycillin twice so far this pregnancy bc of a throat infection and then strep. I was so worried, but realized that me gettting more sick would potentially be alot worse for me and the baby, so I rationalized that everythign would be fine. I know how much it sucks though. Hope you feel better

Re: Ugh. 21 weeks and Zpack....
Zpack is fine, doctors generally know what they are talking about. The baby will be better off when you are feeling better and the meds will help that. Hope you get well soon!
