So had an unexpected internal at 30 weeks...ugh!
I was home on Friday, and had incredible pressure in my groin area, and it got so bad, it felt like the baby was pushing his way out....10 wks early.
Dr. told me to come in, and I had an internal, they wanted to check my cervix, to see if I was further along than what they had originaly determined... ! I almost fainted....
Well, long story, short, she said all is fine, and welcome to being 30 weeks. Since I have been fine thru this whole pregnancy without any symptoms, she said they are starting now!
I was petrified of the internal after al I had read on here!!!
Anyone else around 30 weeks, experience this pressure?

Re: So had an unexpected internal at 30 weeks...ugh!
I experienced it at 28 weeks and was put on bedrest for 2 days because of it as well as spotting and contractions. I get the pressure when I am on my feet a lot. This is why Dr has told me to take it easy and stay off my feet as much as possible. I started to feel pressure at my shower until I started opening gifts.
Dr recommended I wear a belly support belt which I bought at BRU. It's a Medela belt. It totally helps especially at work.
I was getting internals during IF treatment so there not such a big deal to me anymore. I just see internals as the Dr is going to do a pap without that horrid clamp. I H A T E the clamp!!!

Re: So had an unexpected internal at 30 weeks...ugh!
To be honest, I've never entirely been sure of what that pressure feels like, so Im not sure if I have. I have a heaviness down there often. In my first pregnancy it started probably around 30 weeks, this pregnancy it started at 22 weeks. But I've always associated it with my "girl parts" being swollen, etc, which they very much are (sorry if TMI). I'm not sure if that's the same kind of pressure from the baby getting lower.
ETA- the heaviness/pressure I feel only happens when I'm standing or walking. I can stand for about 2 minutes without the pain But it goes away when I sit down.

Exactly, but I was getting just switching positions while sleeping...like left side to right side, so it comes and goes...
