ugh I havent lost a pound in weeks
I have been running 5 days a week anywhere from 3-5 miles at each run I watch what I eat all week.......I do admit on the weekend I dont really watch and I give my self Saturday night to eat whatever I want that being said could that be the reason I am at a stand still I thought all the running would make up for it but I feel trapped with this extra 20lbs......I am not on ww I am just counting calories
I need a good diet plan to drop these 20lbs(not really into the ww thing) can anyone suggest something for me??
also I am willing toi give up carbs for a while if it will drop these last 20lbs but what would I be allowed to eat if I did that
Thanks

I am in the same rut as you....
Trying to lose the last 5lbs of baby weight-
I run 3miles 4x a week.
I eat well all day and then give in at dinner time....
I might see how much an appointment with a nutritionist costs.....

Weight training. Running improves endurance, but you need some calorie burning muscles. Maybe 2-3x a week light weight training and build from there. Muscles burn calories 24/7. Its easy to eat an extra 800+ calories a day if your eating what ever you want. That adds up. That could be a wash from the calories you burned from running... Keep up the good work!

Re: ugh I havent lost a pound in weeks
Have you tried doing some sprints while you're running? I'm not sure if you run on a track or around the neighborhood but if you do sprints at regular intervals (every other lap or every 2 laps, etc.), that will kick up your metabolism and burn more calories than just doing the straight run.
Try just cutting back on carbs instead of eliminating them. If you lose the weight with the no carb, it'll just come back after you start eating them again. If you just cut back, you'll be able to replace them with something else and that will be easier to stick with. Long term weight loss is easier when it's automatic.
My sister's trainer told her to not have any carbs after 4pm (unless you work out after 4 and then you should have some carbs before you run and then not after).
Good luck! FM me if you want to chat about diet tips! I lost 30 lbs on my own and I've kept it off for almost 4 years now and it wasn't a daily struggle.

Re: ugh I havent lost a pound in weeks
I thought I would lose weight running but I didn't I ended up putting on 2-3 pounds. I was eatting more at first but then I cut back, but the problem for me was when I cut back I had no energy to run. I think by adding strecth trainning it should help drop some weight. Try not to get discouraged. Speed work should also help.
I do not eat after 8pm. I eat no carbs for dinner. I eat breakfast within the first hour from waking up. This is what really helped me lose weight.
