UGH, I have a UTI

So when I went for my 2nd appt. at 11.5 weeks, they told me my urine sample from a month ago was borderline for infection and they wanted to take another sample. I got the results last night, that I have a UTI and they are putting me on amoxicillin. Aside from frequent urination, which I attributed to pregnancy, I am not having any additional symptoms. Is this weird? I really did not want to have to be on antibiotic, but they want me taking it ASAP, so I guess I don't have much of a choice

That's not weird at all. I have a chronic UTI problem and on my honeymoom in May 2007 we had to cut it short because I wasn't feeling well. I went to the doctor as soon as we got back and sure enough I had a UTI but had no signs or symptoms and it had progressed into a kidney infection and I didn't even know it. Some infections are like that. It happens sometimes. They can be extremely painful.

I had one too at around 11- 12 weeks, I think it is common! I didnt even have any symptoms!!! I took Macrobid and it went away-Feel Good!

I had one in my first trimester...they're pretty common during pregnancy. It's VERY important that you take the antibiotics though because if you don't the infection could spread to your kidneys. So take your meds!
