Ugh...I just lost my job today
My company hasn't been doing to well lately...well the whole mortgage industry in general. They laid off a crap load of people from other offices last week and 2 people from my office today. Unfortunately I was one of them. I have never in my life been laid off...it s*cks and it's such a scary time for it to happen.

Thanks guys...i'm trying to think positive. I was given 8 weeks severance so at least that will cover me for the 6 weeks I was going to be paid for maternity. It's so scary knowing there's nothing to go back to after the baby.

I'm so sorry. My cousin is in the banking/mortgage industry and last week they let go a whole bunch of people from her office too- it totally stinks

I'm so sorry! just think of this way. You can take this time to focus on baby. File your unemployment and right after you have the baby, you can go outand get a more dependable job!
I wish you alot of luck. I know it's not a happy circumstance, but try and remain positive. I'm a true believer in that things happen for a reason!

I'm trying to stay positive. I was a mess this morning after it happened but ok now. I think i'm more sad...I loved the people I worked with and had the best boss you could ask for. I was there for over 5 years too. I know it had nothing to do with me...my company has been laying off for over a year now so that helps a little.
