I go to a midwife and they only require 1 sonogram at 20 weeks. They give you the option for the 12 week testing and sono which we took. I had a sono at 8 weeks because of bleeding, otherwise 12 weeks would have been my first.

I called my Dr the day I got a BFP, and they saw me 2 days later...I was only about 4 & 1/2 weeks...he sent me for bloodwork, and they confirmed I was pregnant with a urine sample...

My 2nd appointment they did the sono to see the sak and heartbeat, I was about 8 weeks at this time...I think they wait b/c you cant always see a sak or HB when you are that early.

that def. seems a bit long to wait. the first time i was pregnant i called the dr.'s office right away and they said to come in at 6 weeks. I asked if they would do a sono and tey said yes. this time i was seeing an RE so ive had sooo many sonos.
