Re: ughhhh....how wrong was I...if I was even wrong?
okay, I'm back
So, I get there and appt was almost over.
He had skin test done.
Leo left...dr came in because I had a million questions...allergic to eggs, but I am told a flu shot is a must...things like that.
Dr said allergies are not as bad as mine and he's surprised I did not have childhood asthma.
I looked at him and smiled...
he said yes, the notes were very helpful, that they read it together.
So kudos to Leo...who was physically and emotionally drained after the skin test
So, for those following his meds:
still on pulimort twice a day. now also on something like albuterol...starts with a d..maybe davou?(the pharm had to order it, so I don't remember..but he let me know its$$)twice a day
dallergy twice a day

SOmetimes as mommy's we have to give up being control freaks.
How is giving her DH a list of questions regarding their son's medical condition being a control freak?
But how is it not?
I myself go to the doc with a list of questions to ask so i don't forget, but asking DH to read something I wrote to the doc, IMO, is treating your DH like he is less of a parent. I'm picturing someone's DH reading a letter to the doc that mommy wrote, not a list of symptoms, treatments, etc. And he could have just handed that to the doc.
Would you rather your DH go to the dr unprepared and not know the answers to the questions the dr may ask? I would think your DH would feel less of parent NOT knowing the answers than being prepared with a list/letter prepared by you.
ETA: glad the appt went well and Leo went over the letter with the doctor!

thanks!
most of it was written by me last night, for me...
ER visits, what they gave him hospitalizations..
so many dates, triggers.
I guess I won't apologize for giving it to him...but I won't ask if he read it or not since what is done is done.
I would probably have written the letter a few days ago and faxed or mailed it to the Dr to read ahead of time. I don't think you were "wrong" but like luvmy2girls said-most men wouldn't do that

Re: ughhhh....how wrong was I...if I was even wrong?
I probably would have made a bulleted list of my DD's history. I would have done this reguardless of whether I was going, or if DH was taking her. Between asking the doctor questions nd the doc asking you guys questions, it would be easy for some things to be overlooked or forgotten.
And to play devil's advocate in another direction, my DH would probably have been silently thanking his lucky stars that such a list was written out. I don't think he'd have taken it as an insult, I just think that he'd be worried that he'd leave something out and that the list would reassure him that if he needed it, everything is right there.

Re: ughhhh....how wrong was I...if I was even wrong?
thanks!
Leo was never suppose to be at dr...I found out at noon today that our appt got moved.
I will admit...I never met this dr...I am very weary these days when it comes to all these meds.
I was worried a dr would breeze through the letter and miss certain things.
I know I would have never faxed it, in fear of it not being read or given to dr since we were new patients.
