Ughhh...very frustrating
I have been going to the gym religiously now for 2 months. I go 3-5 days a week and do cardio and light weights. I feel great and people have noticed that I have lost weight...however the scale isn't showing a weight loss!!!
I know some people say muscle weighs more than fat, but doesn't it come to a point where the pounds will start to come down???
I do eat very well. I am always watching what I eat, and I don't feel that I eat more now because of the gym, so I know its not the food.
Any advice?

Honestly, it sounds like it is your diet. Cardio and strength training are great but what you are eating is really the key to weight loss.
A few questions for you. Are you keeping a food journal? Do you know how many calories you are taking in a day and/or what you are supposed to be taking in? How much weight do you have to lose (if you don't mind my asking)?

Re: Ughhh...very frustrating
i don't keep a journal but I eat about the same thing everyday
Morning: Light English Muffin with tea
Lunch: Salad with vinegar
Dinner: I share a 1/2 a piece of meat iwth my DH, some veggies and maybe a little rice or pasta.
I don't really snack. I usually have a piece of fruit between Breakfast and Lunch (banana/apple/orange)
I drink diet soda, water and unsweet tea.
i have about 40-50 lbs left to lose.

Re: Ughhh...very frustrating
Okay that is the problem. You are eating WAY too little. Your body is not letting go of the weight because it is not getting enough.
The BARE minimum anyone with any amount of weight to lose should is 1200 calories a day. From what it sounds like you are eating less than 1000 AND exercising on top of it. Maybe try keeping a food journal for just a day or 2 to get a ball park number for what you are taking in. I am not saying you have to count every calorie every single day but here are some suggestions for you...
In the morning have your light english muffin but add an egg or egg white omelette (3 egg whites some cheese and veggies). Your salad is fine at lunch but please add some protein (turkey, grilled chicken, beans etc.). I would probably also use light dressing instead of the vinegar or at the very least oil and vinegar.
So basically you need to up the calories, up the protein and add some fats to your diet. Your body also needs to have some healthy fats - they are essential for good health!
If you are not eating enough all the cardio and strength training in the world is not going to help you. Good luck!

2 things: Does not look like your getting enough protein in your diet and you need it to build muscle and in turn build metabolism in turn burn calories. 2nd: are you kicking butt when you work out? I mean do you feel a bit sore the next day or two. Are you sweating and muscles burning? .... you may need to step it up a bit and eat more. DONT GIVE UP!! You can do this

I usually have some kind of protein in my salad. (chicken, turkey or hard boiled eggs)
I love vinegar on salads and for some reason have never used oil.
At the gym I am working hard. I am sweating when I leave.
Don't get me wrong. I feel great. I feel healthy and "in shape". I just don't like what the scale says.

Re: Ughhh...very frustrating
Don't every pay full attention to a scale..I don't think its the best indicator of weight loss...Go by how you feel, how your clothing fits, and body fat lost..you may be gaining muscle in its place (and thats not necessary a bad thing!) keep your head up! Also take a look at your diet..that is a good indicator of wieght loss...like the other girls said..your NOT EATING ENOUGH! You should be taking in a lot more calories than you are currently. I found that 6 small meals a day helps burnmore calories..it speeds your metabolism up.
